URBAN ATMOSPHERE

This is part of a series of photos presented in October 2004.
My first goal was to show how atmosphere - through light - can be similar or different from one city to another. The second and more fundamental aim, was to show the importance of the man-made environment to the individual.
And as often in my series, a few different pictures were added to put the subject into perspective. This is the case of the "Atmosphere Cafe" or the miniatures of Amsterdam.

Je présente ici un extrait de la série qui a été exposée fin 2004 au centre Etoile Saint-Honoré.
Le premier objectif de cette série est de montrer comment une atmosphère et une lumière peuvent être similaires, ou au contraire différentes, d'une ville à l'autre. Le deuxième objectif, plus fondamental, est d'illustrer l'importance que prend l'environnement fabriqué par l'homme par rapport à l'individu.
Comme souvent, quelques images "intruses" viennent mettre le sujet en perspective. C'est ici le cas de la première image, le café "Atmosphere" - qui donne son nom à ce portfolio - et de la dernière, les miniatures d'Amsterdam.
