JAPON J'ADORE

This series of images is (with a few extras) my first exhibition in November 2002, at the Espace 56, on top of the Tour Monparnasse in Paris.
"Through these images I want to show the Japan I lived in and I loved.
I did not see the "Eternal Japan" of the usual clichés. I did not see the high-tech society of the future, nor the noble world of the samurai.

Ce portfolio comprend (avec quelques ajouts) les images de ma première exposition en novembre 2002, à l'espace 56 de la tour Monparnasse à Paris.
"Par ces photographies, je voudrais montrer les Japon tel que je l'ai vécu et aimé.
Je n'ai pas vu le "Japon Eternel" des clichés habituels. Je n'ai pas vu la société high-tech du futur, ni le monde noble des Samurai.
Le Japon qui m'a touché et ému est beaucoup plus humain, plus fragile, et peut-être par là même, plus extraordinaire."
Aujourd'hui, quelques années après, je repense souvent à ce pays et aux gens que j'y ai rencontré. J'y retournerai peut-être...
